The end of the year is a busy week for car manufacturers. Previously, Toyota was busy with recall actions for its products. Now it’s Honda’s turn to also receive a recall for its vehicles.
Reporting from Nikkei Asia, Honda was ‘forced’ to carry out a recall for its Acura products and also Honda cars produced in 2017-2020.
The reason is, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration or the United States Driving Safety Agency discovered a problem with the fuel pump.
They found that the component was not sturdy enough and could cause problems in the future.
If this is left untreated, the car engine may not start or may stall while driving. Of course, this can trigger an accident for the driver.
Honda was immediately quick to contact consumers who had this problematic product.
“Replacement parts are not available in sufficient quantities for all recalled vehicles at the time of this announcement, and American Honda intends to notify vehicle owners in stages,” Honda wrote.
However, it is not yet known for certain whether products sold in Indonesia are affected or not.
Previous. Toyota is also recalling its products regarding airbag problems. They recalled around one million Toyota and Lexus vehicles in the United States (US).
