,

The Super Series (TSS) by B-Quik 2023 touring race at the Chang International Circuit, Buriram, Thailand ended last week (18/12/3033).

The TSS final marked the end of the season-long Audi Sport Asia Trophy, which was won by driver Andrew Haryanto from Indonesia, with fellow Chinese driver Hu Bo as second driver and Vincent Lin, also from China, as third driver.

The three of them shared a 100,000 Euro spare parts voucher prize from Audi which is ready to make their performance in the following year even brighter.

Quoted from the official Audi release as received by , BQuik Absolute Racing achieved a double victory in the TSS The Super Series in the final of this championship.

Akash Nandy and Adisak Tangphuncharoen won their first race in Buriram. Vincent Lin and Huang Ruohan also scored the overall win and the driver duo of Li Xuanyu and Lu Wenlong impressed in their debut to take the prestigious podium.

This dramatic victory at the Chang International Circuit raised hopes after Vicente Floirendo’s chances in Supercar GT3 Thailand were dashed in the final minutes of the race.

The TSS Buriram Thailand champions from the Audi [Audi Sport racing Asia] team Akash Nandy and Adisak Tangphuncharoen from the B-Quik Absolute Racing Team finished second in the drivers standings ahead of Vicente Floirendo.

“Congratulations to B-Quik Absolute Racing for winning the 2023 Thailand Super Series Teams title,” said Alexander Blackie, Customer Manager of Audi Sport racing Asia.

“This is a fitting title for a team that has dominated the championship since investing in their Audi R8 LMS GT3 evo II fleet,” he continued.

Even though Vicente Floirendo received a heavy blow despite the full support of Audi Sport star, Luca Engstler, the wins of Akash Nandy and Tangphuncharoen in the first race, and Vincent Lin and Huang Ruohan in the second race in the 60 minute race provided exciting results.

The battle for the Thai GT3 Supercar title changed drastically in the first race after Tangphuncharoen’s dominant performance and Nandy took victory from pole position with a masterclass in solid teamwork.

Li Xuanyu and Lu Wenlong also impressed on their series debut with third place podium finishes.

Unfortunately, Luca Engstler, who helped power Vicente Floirendo’s bid for the title towards the end of the season suffered an engine failure in the opening lap.

The second race showcased the reliability of Luca Engstler handing over his B-Quik Absolute Racing ride, namely the leading Audi R8 LMS GT3 evo II to Vicente Floirendo. Unfortunately, due to mechanical problems that destroyed their hopes of victory, both had to end the race.
