Toyota has recently become a topic of public discussion. The reason is, the Japanese manufacturer has cheated the results of the crash test carried out by an Independent Third Party Committee.
From the results of the investigation, there were irregularities in 174 items in 25 test categories.
From these results it was found that 64 models and 3 vehicle engines are currently being produced, developed or discontinued, including 22 models and 1 engine sold by Toyota.
This fraud problem made Toyota apologize to consumers around the world.
“We would like to express our sincere apologies for the inconvenience and concern caused to all stakeholders, including customers,” wrote Toyota’s statement, quoted Wednesday (20/12/2023).
This time, Toyota was again hit by problems. The Japanese carmaker announced that it was recalling around one million Toyota and Lexus vehicles in the United States (US) due to concerns about the airbag system.
