Astra Honda Motor (AHM) on Thursday (21/12/2023) launched its newest electric motorbike, the Honda EM1 e: at an event in Cikarang, West Java.
Price of Honda EM1 e: around IDR 33.5 million. In fact, the new electric motorbike is priced at IDR 40.5 million, but the price has dropped after receiving a subsidy facility from the government of IDR 7 million.
This price is equivalent to the Honda PCX 160 CBS motorbike which is around IDR 32.8 million in Indonesia. As for the price of the Honda EM1 e: it includes one battery.

“We set prices not only based on supply and demand, but also based on embedded technology and also related to segment, because we give consumers choices,” said Okta.
“So what consumers get and price are interrelated,” continued Okta, who was reluctant to specify what kind of segment this electric motorbike was targeting.
Honda EM1 e: Plus itself is produced in Indonesia and for the initial stage will only be marketed domestically. Buyers of this motorbike will enjoy a subsidy of IDR 7 million from the government, because the EM1 e: Plus meets the requirements for a Domestic Component Level of above 40 percent.
AHM also officially released the Honda EM1 e at the same time: only sold at a price of IDR 33 million, after deducting a subsidy of IDR 7 million from the government.
Together with the launch of the Honda EM1 e: Plus, AHM also launched its supporting ecosystem, a battery swap service. So far this facility is only available in Jabodetabek.
