The Ministry of Transportation’s Transportation Policy Agency (BKT) survey stated that during the Christmas and New Year holidays from 2023 to 2024, there will be an increase in national mobility.

The increase in mobility of the people of Indonesia during the Christmas Holidays is estimated to reach 143 percent. There will be 44 million people moving using modes of transportation to travel, including for homecoming or tourism needs. And making cars a favorite mode of transportation.

Jasa Marga’s operational fleet consists of 166 tow trucks, 119 Mobile Customer Service (MCS), 53 ambulances, 38 rescue vehicles, and 100 Highway Patrol (PJR) cars.

Fitri Wiyanti, Director of Operations at Jasa Marga stated that all services from officers to the entire operational fleet and supported by intense coordination with cross-sectoral stakeholders are aimed at anticipating increased mobilization of toll road users. The way to do this is through optimization.

“Service improvements must continue to be carried out consistently to anticipate increased traffic both at toll gates, rest areas and preservation services, optimizing technology and functional operations for several Jasa Marga Group toll roads to ensure smooth travel for toll road users,” said Fitri Wiyanti.

He encouraged Jasa Marga officers who were also alerted to provide the best service, by paying attention to security and safety aspects through monitoring and controlling accident-prone locations.

As well as mitigating the risk of inundation and landslides, and increasing attention to locations that have the potential to experience traffic congestion, such as tourist attractions.

In terms of traffic service facilities, Jasa Marga Group toll roads are equipped with information and communication systems consisting of 1,977 CCTV units, 204 Dynamic Message Sign (DMS) units, 26 Speed ​​Camera units and 7 Weigh in Motion units.

In the “Jasa Marga Siaga Nataru 2023/2024 Kick Off” event, the activity was opened with a ceremony followed by symbolic pin pinning by Jasa Marga directors to the Jasa Marga Siaga Operational Team for Christmas 2023 and New Year 2024.

Next, the entire operational fleet received the attachment Jasa Marga Siaga sticker indicating Jasa Marga’s readiness to alert officers to the operational fleet during the 2023 Christmas Holidays and 2024 New Year Holidays.

Jasa Marga Directors and stakeholders present had the opportunity to review and check the operational fleet.

Operational vehicles from stakeholders come from the Jabodetabek Transportation Management Agency (BPTJ), Transportation Service (Dishub), Basarnas and fire fighting vehicles (damkar).
