Honda Spacy once went viral because it was used by artist Bunga Citra Lestari aka BCL. This motorbike was once a favorite, but now it’s just a name.
Honda Spacy was introduced in 2011 and was introduced by PT Astra Honda Motor (AHM). This motorbike still used a carburetor when it was introduced in 2011.
Running for 3 years, AHM then made changes from previously using a carburetor, then used it injection technology.
This motorbike is also Honda’s first automatic vehicle to use an injection system.
Apart from using injection, this motorbike also uses a front disc brake on the front. Then there is a safety feature with a magnetic ignition lock and a large tank capacity of 18 liters.
Honda Spacy. [AHM] However, unfortunately, this motorbike has a fairly low ground clearance, namely 128 mm, which means that riders will definitely have difficulty when running over speed bumps.
Honda Spacy is equipped with a 4-stroke SOHC 2 Valve engine with a capacity of 110cc, air-cooled.
With this engine, this motorbike is capable of producing up to 8.5 ps of power with 8.04 Nm of torque for the carburetor version.
Meanwhile for the injection version, this motorbike has 8.67 ps of power with 8.93 Nm of torque.
Unfortunately this motorbike’s success didn’t last long. AHM also euthanized this motorbike in 2018. This was allegedly because this motorbike was less competitive than competitors within its own manufacturer such as the Honda BeAT, BeAT Street, Vario 125.
