PT Pertamina Lubricants and PT Semen Indonesia (Persero) Tbk Collaborate to Develop Industrial Lubricants

Pertamina, a national company which operates, among other things, in the automotive sector by providing various kinds of fuels and lubricants for motor vehicles, through PT Pertamina Lubricants (PTPL) has collaborated with PT Semen Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (SIG).

Quoted from the official release from Pertamina Lubricants as received by , both parties signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for the Development of Industrial Lubricants. The aim is to create strategic steps to meet lubricant needs in all SIG Group operational activities.

The excitement of watching at the Mandalika Circuit, as an illustration of Pertamina products in the automotive sector [PT Pertamina Lubricants]. The signing of the Memorandum of Understanding was carried out by the Director of Sales and Marketing of PT Pertamina Lubricants, Sari Istiani Rachmi and the Director of SIG Operations, Reni Wulandari on Friday (17/11/ 2023).

This collaboration is a form of strengthening BUMN synergy which will open up opportunities for various forms of further cooperation. These include joint research and joint product development of lubricants and greases for SIG Group’s operational needs, and comprehensive testing at PTPL’s Lubricants Technology Center (LTC) facility.

Both parties also used this collaboration as a forum for knowledge sharing and data transfer to accelerate product innovation from each company.

“We understand the importance of research in order to be able to formulate lubricants according to machine specifications and performance, especially machines with the latest technology. “We are adaptive, agile and fast in responding to consumer needs,” explained Sari Istiani Rachmi, Director of Sales and Marketing at PTPL.

“Using domestic products is a strategic initiative contained in the Sustainability Road Map SIG 2020-2030. “We support government programs and policies in P3DN and the National Movement Proudly Made in Indonesia (Gernas BBI), for national economic growth by opening the widest possible opportunities for large domestic industries and small and medium businesses, to participate in the SIG supply chain,” added Reni Wulandari, SIG Operations Director.

SIG’s collaboration with PTPL shows SIG’s strong commitment to increasing the Domestic Component Level (TKDN) in all operational activities as a form of support for domestic industry.

As well as making the Increased Use of Domestic Products program a success (P3DN) launched by the Government, as well as the creation of a business ecosystem that supports the growth and strengthening of the Indonesian economy
